Jamie and James

Well, it has been a very long week-probably because of the heat factor. We made it through and I really hope that this next week is a kicked back one. We had a great Sunday-mostly hanging out at home. Colin and Elisabeth came over and had dinner, which is always a blast. We played Clue and this new card game called "bang". If they didn't come over Sundays, the day would seem like 50 years long. We are so lucky to have them close by. Nicole followed Maya around pretty much all day. She does this almost everyday. If Maya jumps she jumps. If Maya hurts herself Nicole will hurt herself on purpose to be like Maya. She even likes to go to time out with Maya. I'm sure this is how life will be for a long time. I hope she doesn't have middle child syndrome too bad. Jamie is the happiest baby and pretty much just smiles all of the time. We are so lucky.

Hot Days

It was so hot today. I could say that everyday for the next few months. We tried to go swimming but got attacked by bees. James has to get rid of the hive sometime this weekend. When the swimming idea failed we got out the slip and slide and then went in the front yard and ran through the sprinklers. All in all I would say it was a success!

Phantom of the Opera

It is still crazy hot here so we have been inside quite a bit. I was lucky enough to get out of the house for a few hours and come back a better mom. It is funny how much a few hours by yourself can help. It is kind of like the old video games I used to play. Your life points go down and you can get them back by leaving the battlefield and avoiding the little aliens or whatever else is chasing you. Maya and Nicole are obsessed with Phantom of the Opera-the music, story, and movie (minus a few parts). Nicole was the Phantom and Maya was Christine.
